Charleston Chew is a household name across the east coast. This is delicious chewy nougat covered in a chocolate coating. It makes for a perfect afternoon pick-me-up, after-dinner treat or delicious snack whenever the craving hits. The chocolate bar was created in 1925 by the Fox-Cross Candy Company, founded by stage actor Donley Cross and his friend Charlie Fox. The candy pays homage to the popular dance, the Charleston, which inspired the name.
