Guineas are prized for their bug control and are said to be especially fond of ticks. They are also used as barnyard guards, sounding a loud warning when they feel threatened. The Jumbo French Pearl Guineas are good meat birds, dressing at about 4 lbs. in 14 weeks with excellent feed conversion.
