Tibetan Garlic: Hot Himalayan hardneck. The bulbs run 2 to 2.5 inches across and can carry a dozen cloves or more.
The heat comes through hardest raw, so use it in dressings, salsas, and anything uncooked. Cooking mellows it.
Red Russian Garlic: Very Hardy, Heirloom variety. Know for its beautiful purple striped bulbs. Flavour is bold and spicy. Mellows out when cooked.
Music Garlic: Italian variety brought to Canada in 1980's. This variety is very popular, cold hardy porcelain hardneck. Noted for is very large jumbo, easy to peel cloves and beautiful bold flavour.
Grown in Red Deer County
Grown without chemical fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides.
